Lex began costuming in film and television almost twenty years ago, following her passion for history and stories, fabrics and ribbons, which began as a young girl in the North of England.

She completed a BA Hons in Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating with first class honours.

Following a placement at the BBC on their prestigious trainee scheme, Lex continued to gain experience in departments as a design assistant and costume buyer, finding her way to the position of costume standby, and assistant designer, on major films.

Since working as costume designer for film and television, whilst based in London and working abroad, Lex has recently completed designing season 3 of AMC Studio's

Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire, now re-named The Vampire Lestat.

Lex focuses on story and character, injecting depth in to costumes to enrich each frame,

and develop characters to be palpably authentic. She works closely within the

costume workshop, enjoying deep-rooted relationships with cutters and makers, and believes deeply in her collaboration with other departments to bring the vision to life for the project in hand.
